Job Summary
Housekeepers at the college are responsible for cleaning all residential, academic, and administrative buildings on campus. A Housekeeper's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Servicing bathrooms
- Removing trash and recycling
- Cleaning and vacuuming, sweeping, washing floors as needed in public spaces on campus
- Set-up spaces for meetings and re-setting classroom spaces at the end of the day
- Maintain inventory of supplies issued to complete assigned jobs
Education/Skills Requirements
Required:
- Some High School education OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic mathematical computations
- Establish and maintain working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and building occupants
- Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team with minimum supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required:
- Minimum of six months of related experience in a similar role
- Experience working in Higher Education or equivalent
- Housekeeping schedules include: Monday through Friday from 5:00 am – 9 am.
- This position is part-time year round, working 20 hours/52 weeks (0.50 FTE).
- Special events and coverage issues may necessitate overtime hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Work assignments are reviewed and revised as necessary.
