The Department of Finance seeks a Director for the Division of Accounting who will provide statewide leadership, direction and management of accounting, payroll compliance, internal control and financial reporting for all state organizations including school districts and higher education. The Director of Accounting position ensures the provision of timely and accurate financial information to management and the public, including the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), the official audited financial statements of the State. The position leads the State’s payroll compliance initiative ensuring statewide adherence to IRS code and other regulatory standards. The position oversees the financial portion of the State of Delaware Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system consisting of thirteen modules recording the assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures of state organizations. The position also works with the ERP Modernization team currently developing an RFP for a new system to be implemented in the next five to eight years.
