Job Summary:

The Welcome Center Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Welcome Center, which is the starting point for campus tours.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be customer service driven, work well with a team, and feel comfortable multitasking

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Welcome Center and work with the Building Managers and external departments regarding the presentation space, etc.

  • Handle all Group Tour reservations from start to finish, including event entry in Slate CRM and reporting

  • Work with the Campus Visit Coordinator to finalize the spring visit schedule and events and update Slate accordingly

  • Coordinate VIP tours for external departments

  • Create facilities work orders for events, if/when needed

  • Train, schedule, confirm, and serve as point of contact for the student team

  • Oversee the management of front desk operations

  • Handle tour cancellations in conjunction with the Campus Visit Coordinator, if/when needed

  • Create and implement Counselor Database in Slate CRM with Operations collaboration


Competencies:

Ideal candidate must possess 10+ years of Customer Service experience in higher education and be fully efficient in Microsoft Suite.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Management Events.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full Time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary for this position is $44,100. St. John's University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
